Inimey Ippadithan Movie Review: Will Leave Your Sides Split!

After Arai En 305-il Kadavul and Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, Santhanam is back as a hero through Inimey Ippadithan. Does the film has enough in it to sustain him as a hero as its title suggests? Find it out in our review below.

Santhanam's aim in the movie is to marry a beautiful girl and hence puts his family under pressure in finding one. They (his family) even think that he has gone overboard with his persistence of finding the right girl.

When Santhanam tries his hand in finding a beautiful girl himself, he meets Ashna and decides that the girl fits the bill and begins to follow her.

In a cinematic twist, Santhanam's uncle, played by Thambi Ramaiah, forces him into an engagement with Akhila, saying that he has indeed found a beautiful girl for him after all.

After having made Ashna fall for him, Santhanam gets engaged to Akhila. Will he go on to marry Akhila or find a way to bring Ashna into his life? These questions are answered with an unexpected twist in the climax.

Santhanam shines(literally, as the crew's efforts to make him look like a hero becomes obvious). Coming back to his performance, yes, he shines with his dialogue deliveries and body language. He sure knows how to leave your sides split.

The leading ladies have done what is required, but the real stand out performance comes from the veteran Thambi Ramaiah, who pulls off his role as a responsible uncle with ease. His ability to make you laugh with his subtlety adds value to the entire movie.

Directors Murugan and Anand, simply referred to as Muruganand have presented the movie neatly without much of a lag in either first or the second half.

Having said that, wrong placement of songs hinders the pace, even though all the songs have been picturized well. BGM by Santhosh Kumar is good enough for a debutant music composer.

Cinematographer Gopi Jagadesswaran has used the colours brilliantly, portraying richness in each and every scene. The film's main drawback is its editing as Anthony L. Ruben could've used his pair of scissors in a much smarter way.

Santhanam's Inimey Ippadithan aims at making its audience laugh and achieves it convincingly, watch out for the climax sequence.
