Ribery wants to end World Cup career on a high

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is preparing for his last World Cup with France but wants to go out on a high, he said in an interview on Wednesday.
“This will be my last World Cup,” Ribery told French radio station RTL. “We are going there to achieve something big and attempt to win the World Cup.” Ribery, 31, has appeared at two previous World Cups and was runner-up at the 2006 event in Germany, when France lost the final to Italy in a penalty shoot-out.
In South Africa 2010, the World Cup ended in disappointment for France and Ribery with a group stage exit.
Though Ribery does not expect to feature in the 2018 World Cup, he did not rule out the possibility of playing in Euro 2016 which is to be held in France.
